A group of volunteer students from the Year 8 Practical Philosophy course submitted an entry for the second school award of the Georg Kraus Foundation under the motto "Be Brilliant – Think Globally!".

Today, our class representatives and their deputies set off for Boda Borg Bochum to tackle puzzle rooms and complete team challenges together.

From March 23 to March 26, students from Realschule Grünstraße took part in a memorial trip to Weimar and the memorial site of the former Buchenwald concentration camp. The aim of the four-day excursion was to engage intensively with the history of National Socialism — especially persecution, forced labor, imprisonment in concentration camps, and the culture of remembrance both in Buchenwald and in present-day Weimar.

On Thursday, 23 April 2026, the MINT workshop on the topic of “Renewable Energies” started for 15 technology-interested female students from Years 8 and 9.

At yesterday’s parents’ café in the cafeteria of Realschule Grünstraße, one thing was at the center: Connection.

At the Crash Course NRW, police officers, paramedics and firefighters talked about their deployments.

With the 3malE Knowledge Mobile of the BNE Agency NRW, we took a closer look at our school’s energy consumption using modern measuring instruments such as thermal imaging cameras, light meters, and electricity measuring devices.

In January, on two dates, we visited the Aalto Theatre in Essen with two groups of our DaZ students.

The talent show, organized by the Student Council (SV), presented an impressive variety of skills.

The students of class 5b worked intensively on the topic “Energy and Physics.” The aim of this project was to illustrate the importance of insulation for the energy consumption and energy efficiency of buildings.
