Sporting Commitment at the Federal Youth Games
On 1 July, the students in Years 5 to 8 headed out to the sports field to show what they could achieve! At the Federal Youth Games held at the facilities of the Turn- und Sportverein Hattingen 1863 e. V., the classes competed in various athletics disciplines:
Long jump
50-, 75-, or 100-metre sprint, depending on age
800-metre run (girls) and 1,000-metre run (boys)
Throwing (with either 80 g or 200 g balls, depending on age)
All students gave their best, encouraged each other, and demonstrated sporting ambition and team spirit. Therefore, all students will receive a certificate (participation certificate, winner’s certificate, or honour certificate) according to their performance once the results have been evaluated.
Special thanks go to the Year 9 students, who accompanied the classes in small groups to the individual stations, recorded the results, and helped ensure that everything ran smoothly.
