“Crash Course NRW” at RSG
This week, the “Crash Course NRW” took place again at Realschule Grünstraße for the Year 10 students. The event aims to sustainably reduce the number of serious traffic accidents – especially those involving young people.
To achieve this, students were informed about regional and real-life traffic accidents. What made the event particularly impactful were the speakers: members of the emergency response chain in North Rhine-Westphalia. Police officers, emergency services from the fire department and ambulance service, as well as emergency chaplains, spoke to the students about accidents they had experienced in the course of their work. The Crash Course team from the Ennepe-Ruhr district succeeded in highlighting possible causes and the tragic consequences of the presented traffic accidents.
During the event, the students were accompanied by their class teachers as well as the fire department’s psychosocial support team, so that any distressing memories or emotional overload could be addressed immediately.
Realschule Grünstraße would like to sincerely thank all those involved for their commitment!
